Sprint 22: Merging Scenes
For the past two months we have had a lot of progress in each of the areas of our development: art, design, programming, and sound; however, up until today we haven’t put our test scenes together to see how it all works in unison. This week we finally merged our test scenes! The game has gone through a huge amount of changes! We’ve increased our overall visual polish and put in our in progress models of our TWO characters! It was an exciting week for us.
Additionally, we are getting ready for the Champlain College Senior Show which means we have started to storyboard our presentation. It is pretty rough, but here is what I have mocked up so far:
The team likes this current flow and asked me to make some detailed mockups of the team member stat cards. I made a few different concepts of what we could list content-wise for these cards. The propose is to briefly introduce each person and show off what they have been contributing to the team / their skills. We are still figuring out exactly what this content should be and whether or not if should be strictly professional or possibly more comical. Anyways, here is the layouts I came up with:
Obviously it isn’t in our game’s art style– the visual style shown here is just me playing around.
Spring break and GDC is coming up, so I’ll be out of town! To plan for this I set up with my leads the general idea of how the next couple sprint should go. Here is the plan we set up:
While I’m gone my tasks some of my tasks will need to be covered. I’ll still be working on the Cabinet Trailer, but my more regular tasks will be redistributed throughout the team members that are still in town during the week of GDC
Thats it for this week!
