Sprint 16: Back in Action

We are back into the fray! We took about a month off for winter break, spent sometime with our families, and now we are all ready to jump back into development of Lucha Megadrive for the next 3-4 months!

Even though there was a break, I did squeeze in some extra work so that we don’t have to worry about it later. For example, I put together a basic website to showcase our game:

I put together this site because several of our team members are going to various conventions this year like GDC and PAX. Being able to pull up the website or refer someone to the url will be hugely beneficial to showing off our project. I plan to update all the graphics as we revamp our art direction. 

The other big thing I worked on over the break was re-editing our capstone presentation from last semester. The video now has subtitles, different camera footage, and slightly better audio. Check it out on our youtube channel here:

With that all out of the way, lets talk about our plan for this semester! In just a couple weeks we need to pass our studio green light, meaning we have prepare a plan for our production phase of development. Currently that plan is as follows:

Tomorrow we will present this list to our studio lead and work them to make sure these are the right features we need to be focusing on. If you are interested in more details about each of these features check out these slides we put together:

Lastly, we got the first piece of our arcade cabinet this week! We opted to go with the Xtension Fight Stick Pro which works great out of the box and feel great to play with! The controllers arrival has gotten us all really excited for this semester!
