Collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to align project requirements and drive development rituals. I set up the overall project plans and coordinate the hardware setups for the live event show showing. I also edited the marketing videos and was an actor in one of them. :)
Project Summary
Apollo 11: First Steps is a HoloLens 2 AR experience highlighting the achievements of the Apollo 11 Moon landing. Developed in partnership with Microsoft and delivered at Siggraph 2019, the demo uses streaming technology to achieve the highest quality visuals of any AR experience to date. Two pods were set up in the Orpheum Theater and The Palm restaurant during Siggraph 2019 for VIP attendees such as Ford Motor Company, DaimlerChrysler, SpaceX, and Lockheed Martin to enjoy. Renderosity magazine called it “The very best interactive mixed reality experience I’ve ever had.” Since the Siggraph showing Microsoft and other companies have requested to showcase Apollo 11: First Steps at various other events.
Microsoft //build 2019
The first time we tried showing this Hololens 2 tech demo was at Microsoft’s //build 2019 event in Seattle, Washington. While sadly the demo was not performed on stage we did release a recording of an offline showing off the demo. This particular iteration of Apollo 11: Frist Steps was a multi-user networked mix reality tech demo.
